Company Outings

One of our core values is family. To us, that means more than just working side by side. It means creating opportunities to connect, build trust, and enjoy time together outside of the workplace. Our company outings give employees a chance to relax, have fun, and strengthen relationships in a different setting.

We believe that spending time together beyond the workday leads to stronger teams, better communication, and a culture where people genuinely enjoy working together.

Holiday Celebrations

We love to celebrate the holidays and bring our team together for some well-deserved fun. Our holiday events are a chance to show our appreciation for the dedication and hard work our employees put in all year long. Whether it’s a festive meal, themed decorations, or thoughtful gifts, we aim to create moments that make our team feel valued and recognized. These celebrations offer a break from the routine and help build a sense of community, gratitude, and joy within the workplace.

Annual Movie Night

Each year, we host an annual movie night for our employees, their families, and friends. This special event takes place at our Warehouse 2 location, where we transform the space into an outdoor theater by projecting the movie onto the side of the building. The evening includes food, fun activities, and a chance to relax and enjoy time together outside of work.

Our movie night is a great example of how we live out our core value of Family by creating opportunities to connect, unwind, and celebrate the people who make our company what it is.

Safety Awards

Safety is one of our top priorities. We believe that a safe workplace starts with a team that consistently looks out for one another and takes safety seriously every day. To recognize and reward that commitment, we celebrate safety milestones with quarterly awards when there are no lost time injuries. The longer we go without a lost time injury, the greater the reward. These recognitions range from small gifts and gift cards to on-site food trucks and other fun surprises. It’s our way of saying thank you to our employees for their dedication to creating a safer work environment for everyone.

Ephrata Parade

In addition to our employee engagement events, we are proud to be active participants in our local community. Each year, we sponsor the Ephrata Parade and take part with a custom float, representing Denver Cold Storage and Denver Logistics. Our beloved penguin mascots make an appearance, along with a group of our amazing team members who walk in the parade and help bring the energy and spirit of our company to the community. One of our core values is service, and this event is a meaningful way for us to give back, connect with others, and show our support for the place we call home.

Denver Fair

The Denver Fair is a beloved local tradition that brings together the community for a week of family-friendly fun, rides, food, and local showcases. It’s a time when neighbors gather to celebrate small-town spirit and local pride.

Denver Cold Storage and Denver Logistics proudly host a booth at the fair each year. Our stand gives us a chance to connect with community members, answer questions about who we are and what we do, and show our appreciation for the place we call home. We enjoy engaging with families, meeting potential job seekers, and being part of such a meaningful local tradition. Discover Denver is a community-centered event designed to highlight local businesses, organizations, and services. We are proud to participate in Discover Denver by setting up a booth and sharing more about our company, our services, and our values. DCS Becomes Green

Denver Cold Storage is taking a big step toward a more sustainable future. Our solar installation at Plant 2 is officially underway and is projected to be completed by the end of June 2025. This initiative marks a major milestone in our efforts to reduce our environmental impact and operate more responsibly.

We are proud to partner with Paradise Energy Solutions on this project, which will help us generate clean, renewable energy right from our facility. By integrating solar power into our operations, we’re lowering our carbon footprint, improving energy efficiency, and supporting long-term environmental goals.

New Warehouse Space

We’re growing to serve our customers even better. As of April 1, 2025, Denver Cold Storage is leasing additional warehouse space at the former Sharp Shopper building in Ephrata. This expansion allows us to increase our storage capacity, improve operational flexibility, and create new opportunities for our team.

The added space supports our continued growth and helps us stay responsive to the needs of our partners and customers. We’re excited about what this expansion means for the future of our company and proud to keep investing in our operations.

Timeline Installation

Our story is now front and center for all to see. The timeline that was recently added to our website is now proudly displayed in our conference room as a visual reminder of the journey that has shaped Denver Cold Storage into the company it is today.
